Feeding the soil to feed the plant.
  • USDA National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) definition, April 1995
  • “Organic agriculture is an ecological production management system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and soil biological activity. It is based on minimal use of off-farm inputs and on management practices that restore, maintain and enhance ecological harmony.
  • “‘Organic’ is a labeling term that denotes products produced under the authority of the Organic Foods Production Act. The principal guidelines for organic production are to use materials and practices that enhance the ecological balance of natural systems and that integrate the parts of the farming system into an ecological whole.
  • “Organic agriculture practices cannot ensure that products are completely free of residues; however, methods are used to minimize pollution from air, soil and water.

EDEN/Carouse microbial inoculant (1lb)

$11.00

Eden is a microbial inoculant. Many of our modern agricultural practices adversely affect the microbial life in the soil. Eden is a specific blend of dried microbes that can help reestablish the microbial population. The cold soils and short growing season in Alaska increase the importance of feeding the beneficial fungi and bacteria in our soils. Eden can be used on soil certified for organic crop production.

Total Nitrogen 1%
Available Phosphate 1%
Soluble Potash 2%

Contents- Plant proteins, animal proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and trace minerals; specialized, preselected, adapted soil microbes, bio-organic catalysts and microbial growth stimulants.

Eden adds organisms to the soil that feed beneficial bacteria and fungi. Several miles of fungi filament and millions of good bacteria can be present in less than a thimble full of healthy soil.
These fungi and bacteria benefit the soil by improving nutrient and water uptake, root and plant growth. They help improve soil structure, build humus, disease resistance and reduce plant stress.

Application: 1/2 pound Eden per 1000 sq. feet .
10 lbs. per acre.
Eden/Carouse may be applied with the broadcast mix when preparing the soil for planting.

Store at temperatures below 100°F. Keep dry and out of direct sunlight. Freezing is not recommended.
